| Turkey Creek is a brackish water creek with hydric hammock surrounding it. This creek supports abundant wildlife. As you pass the deeper area of the creek, look for large swirls of water which indicate the presence of manatees. |

| This is a good place to view alligators, fish, and an occasional river otter. Gopher tortoises and endangered indigo snakes have made their homes in the sandy soil of the sand pine scrub.
